Quarter-System
Virginia University of Science & Technology (VUST) operates on a quarter system, providing courses for students on a year-round basis. There are four quarters of classes offered during the year: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. Each quarter is approximately eleven (10) weeks long. Courses vary in the number of class meetings per week but generally meet at least once per week. Generally, the table below is how quarter credits are equivalent to semester credits according to the regulations defined by US Department of Education.
